Our Story

Rita and Luís bought the property in 2018, and since then have been restoring the house and the farm. It’s been a fabulous journey, full of reflection, experimentation and discovery.

They make decisions about the property together, always looking for the best solutions to the many challenges that arise. Luís is a freelance software architect, but in his free time he’s usually in the garden, especially taking on the heavier, more physical work. He also plays the drums — you’ll even find a drum set in the fireplace room.

Rita is obsessed with research and all things garden‑related, constantly gathering ideas and sharing them with Luís. She is full-time gardening and managing the property. They also travel regularly to visit gardens, always on the lookout for new inspiration.
