Garbage will be collected by our team after you leave. Please make sure:
all the bags sealed

compost material should be dropped at the compost bin, next to the shed.
If you want to leave your garbage during your stay, here’s where:
General Waste — Use the black container, single standing unit.
Recycling. Please use bags inside the cabinets for paper (blue), plastic (yellow), glass (green). Color tape inside cabinet doors.
Organic Waste / composting: You can help us compost by selecting only in the green small table bin

The house has central climate control and all units will be programed for a comfortable temperature by default. However, you can adjust the temperature in your room by following instructions bellow.
Turning On and Off: Tap the power icon in the upper‑right corner to turn the unit on or off.
Adjusting the Temperature Press – and + buttons to decrease or increase to desired temperature. The digital display will show the selected value (e.g., 18.0 in the image).
3. Changing the Mode (Winter / Summer)
❄️/☀️ Button: Allows you to switch between heating and cooling modes.
Sun Icon (☀️): Heating Mode (active in the image). Ideal for cold days.
Snowflake Icon (❄️): Cooling Mode. Ideal for summer.
4. Fan Speed and Ventilation Modes. On the bottom bar, you can select the ventilation behavior by tapping directly on the options:
AUTO: The unit intelligently manages the fan speed to reach the desired temperature with maximum efficiency.
Night Mode (🌙): Reduces the fan speed to the lowest level and adjusts the temperature smoothly to ensure silence and ideal comfort while you sleep.
Single Fan: Constant medium/low speed, ideal for maintaining a comfortable environment quietly.
Double Fan: Maximum speed (Turbo). Use this option to heat or cool the room quickly when you arrive home.

🔌 Before You Start
Make sure the machine is plugged in and switched on.
Fill the water tank at the back.
Add coffee beans to the bean hopper on top.
Ensure the portafilter is clean and empty.
⚙️ Grinding & Tamping
Insert the portafilter into the grinder slot.
Choose your grind size using the dial (medium is a good default).
Pull the tamping lever fully down to tamp the coffee automatically.
Move the portafilter to the brewing group.
☕ Making Coffee
Select your drink: Espresso, Americano, or Coffee.
Press the button once to start extraction.
The machine will stop automatically.
Tip: For a stronger coffee, choose a finer grind or press the “2x” button for a double shot.
🥛 Using the Steam Wand
Fill a jug with cold milk.
Turn the steam knob to start steaming.
Keep the tip just below the surface for foam.
Turn the knob back to stop.
Wipe the wand with a cloth after use.
🧼 Cleaning
Empty and rinse the portafilter after each use.
Wipe the steam wand immediately after steaming milk.
Empty the drip tray when full.
The machine will alert you when descaling is needed.
⚠️ Troubleshooting
Coffee too weak: grind finer or tamp again.
Coffee not flowing: grind is too fine or portafilter overfilled.
No steam: wait for the machine to heat up (steam icon must be solid).
Water tank empty: refill and reinsert firmly.

You have 2 ovens available. Both have steam options available. The top oven is more precise and has more options (bread, cakes, roasts, chosen interactively), the bottom one reaches a higher temperature (300Cº, good for pizzas).

Induction hob
1. Turn On: Touch the power symbol to activate the hob.
2. Start Cooking: Place a pot/pan on a cooking zone.
Touch the zone you want.
Slide your finger on the power bar to set the heat (1–9).
3. Boost (Fast Heat)
Select a zone → tap P for instant maximum power.
4. Pause
Tap the pause icon to temporarily stop all zones.
Tap again to resume.
5. Lock (Child Lock)
Press the lock icon for a few seconds to lock/unlock the controls.
6. Turn Off
Touch the power symbol again.
Zones show H while still hot — do not touch.

Kitchen Hood.
1. Turn On / Off: Tap the power symbol to switch the hood on or off.
2. Choose Fan Speed: Tap 1 / 2 / 3 to select the extraction level.
1 = low
2 = medium
3 = high
3. Boost Mode
Tap B (or the “Power Boost” icon) for maximum extraction.
It turns off automatically after a few minutes.
4. Lights: Tap the light icon to turn the LED lights on or off.

You can use the laundry room for your convenience. You will find detergents and conditioners. Here there’s also an iron, ironing board, a vacuum cleaner and clothes hanger.

The wine fridge is filled with wines you can open on a honesty bar basis.

Guests are welcome to pick fruits and vegetables from the farm and to forage wild herbs that naturally appear throughout the year. Before harvesting, please check with Rita so she can advise you on what is ripe and ready to enjoy.
Occasionally, maintenance or small works may need to take place on the property during your stay. If so, we will always speak with you first and agree on the day and time in advance to ensure minimal disruption.

The best place for indulging on food shopping is Mercado do Livramento in Setubal.
However, if you want something standard and more convenient, you have plenty of options within 5/10min drive:

You need to have a car or a driver if you want to safely enjoy staying at the farm.
For public transports you have the train and the bus.
